We've Decided to Take a Year Off from BB&B in 2022 to Create New Events at New Venues
The 2021 Bacon Brew and Boo event at the NC History Center was a blast! Great food, great music, great costumes and more made it an unforgettable night.
In 2022, we have decided to take a hiatus from BB&B to focus on adding some new and exciting special events and venues to our repetoire. Stay tuned for more information about the fun things coming up in 2022 and 2023 and visit our website for information.
United Way of Coastal Carolina
The New Bern Bacon and Brew Festival fundraiser for United Way of Coastal Carolina was first held in 2015. With a hiatus in 2020 due to Covid restrictions, the 2021 event will be the sixth year for the Festival. The event is planned and coordinated by United Way of Coastal Carolina and staffed by volunteers. This popular downtown New Bern event has grown each year and now has a regular following among beer and food lovers in coastal North Carolina.
The 2021 event comes with an exciting change of venue to the NC History Center. There is a Halloween theme with a Costume Contest and Photo Booth. A Cornhole Tournament, local breweries and food trucks will make for a fun night. Live music will be provided by Due East, a local band. We want this year’s Festival to be the best one ever!
Funds that are raised will help support the work done by United Way to improve the health, education and financial stability of thousands of individuals and families in our service area of Carteret, Craven, Jones and Pamlico counties.
